I woke up rubbing my eyes wondering if it's still 5am coz of the gloomy light through my room's terrace, but when i checked my cellphone, it was already 9am. It was still raining, probably for 24hrs already.
Tired from the night before, I got up and checked out the other unit hoping my cousin Mark would still be there. Noone was there. I went back to my unit and packed my things so I could go home to Laguna. I took the biggest umbrella from the other unit since my portable one was already broken, then i left.
The cab I got couldn't pass through Buendia/Gil Puyat coz of the rising flood. It was the first time I saw Makati flooded. So i got out and took a jeepney instead. Just in time, I made it inside the bus around 10:30am. Waited for passengers to fill in the seats, it was pretty much an ordinary stormy weather for me.
Just as the bus left and headed for the long Buendia Avenue, I couldn't see the road. It was only on the South Luzon Expressway where I as able to see the road somehow, although there was still a few inches of flood. Upon descending the bus in Laguna, the strong wind blew my gigantic umbrella, but i was able to retrieve it by running after it through the shin deep flood. Thankful was I when I reached our house, it was unharmed. I was at peace knowing I'm with my mom and pets.
The rest is history! ONDOY ONDOY ONDOY
